Patience

Sitting along the corridor, with the warmth of the sun enveloping us, I wondered again at what I was doing, forcing the students to do their work. I never remembered spending such long hours in school even during my O Levels. I can't even remember whether there were remedial lessons. If there were, I definitely could not remember attending them.

He strolled in leisurely. One and a half hours late, an hour to five.

'Did you know that she is waiting?'
'Ya. But I told her I will come when I am ready what.' came the reply.

The two sat down. She diverted her attention to them. The other noticed the lost of attention and started wandering around. Then he decided to pack up and go.

'Too many people...' he mumbled, and lumbled off.

It was six before she could leave. If they have come earlier, she would have been home an hour earlier just now. Only she can put up with their idiosyncrasies.

Teaching. The training of patience.

ADA

I used to think that I was invincible. Really. I didn't bother much about my wounds when I fell, not even my pimples, knowing that they will heal in time. I didn't care that I slept with my hair wet cos i will still wake up fresh and bright. I could clean off a whole box of chocolates and nuts and didn't have to worry about getting indigestion or sore throat. The beauty of youth.

But for the past one month, I have kept myself busy applying medicated oil to my sprained ankle and bandaging my 'creaking' wrist. It is unbelievable that my ankle still aches after a month, and I got a sprained wrist simply from trying to receive the shuttle cock from my nephew with my backhand. I felt it most akinly when I was playing the North Zone Cluster Games as I couldn't nail my opponent down when I could have done it easily in the past.

My resolution for my term break was to pick up my yoga, all over again. The only panacea, the Age Defying Agent that will hopefully keep my joints and tendons lubricated, for many years more.
